The Closed Caption Books is a personal ongoing book project. Each book is a collection of my regular practice which consists of drawing, writing, photographing and note-taking/research, the books allow me to put all these in one place in order to keep track of the associative process. The pages are not sequenced in any particular order and the content is unedited, not intended for public consumption- however in my most recent exhibition we printed one copy of each book (3 at time of exhibit) for the visitors to browse. This was an experiment but we received positive feedback, it allowed insight into the connections between works and permits the reader a glimpse into the process. Regardless I will continue to make them unedited and sequenced at random so as to make sure they serve the original purpose of being a personal archive. At present i just printed book five and have begun to organize material for book 6.
